Thank you to my beautiful model who helped me create this. This image is a tribute to
Nzingha Mbande (c. 1583 – 1663), Queen of the Ambundu Kingdoms of Ndongo (1624–1663)
Nzinga received military and political training as a child and then ruled the kingdom after the death of her father and brother. Nzinga fought for the Independence and stature of her kingdoms against the Portuguese in a reign that lasted 37 years. She was strong, intelligent and courageous.

Every year the Professional Photographers of Ameri

Every year the Professional Photographers of America @ourppa hold an international Print Competition. It is very much like the Olympics of photography.
You may enter 4 images in each of the 3 events (Photographic, Artist & Wedding). There are multiple categories within each event (children, teen, illustrative, landscape etc.)
This year I entered 4 in Photographic and 4 in Artist (my first time entering Artist event).
I am pleased to say I received a GOLD medal in both events. All 8 of my images were awarded a merit and 4 of my images were awarded an additional Image of Excellence Award.
I couldn’t be more pleased.
Thank you to my beautiful models @ellie_wolfe_ @brikia1bioqt @keliah_peterson @teaganpennings @kobe__snacks @harley_thegriff @leeshthepeesh and to my friends, teachers and mentors who have supported me along the way. Thank you to my family for loving me and supporting my passion/obsession/ and for being willing to make my crazy ideas a reality.
